Inclusive, effective workshops that turn creative play into collective action
The problem with today’s workshops is that they are uninspiring, unproductive and don’t allow for collaboration and effective change. Too often they are led by one person, and people struggle to work together.
That’s why we created MetaMosaics®
MetaMosaics® is a novel and inclusive, evidence-based workshop format that uses elements of serious play and embodied cognition to nurture creative thinking and collaborative action.
How it works:
As an in-person, embodied technique, MetaMosaics® helps people to be present and attentive as they handle mosaic pieces, responding to their texture, weight, shapes, and history.
Workshop participants explore a topic by building mosaics together, selecting pieces that represent different stories and perspectives. The technique encourages people to share and listen to each other’s perspectives, explore similarities and differences, connect ideas and find new solutions.
This collaborative mosaic-making creates an open, safe and inclusive environment where diverse voices can share their lived experiences, expertise, and ideas as equals.
All workshops are guided by an expert accredited MetaMosaics® Facilitator who is trained to encourage open conversations and collaborations.
Users of augmentative and alternative communication technologies met with speech and language therapists, family members, researchers and advocacy charities to map opportunities for local collaborative action on consistent service delivery.
An MP, local authority leaders, an air quality manager, charity leaders, policymakers and public health experts worked together to configure a coalition to manage and advise on future steps for policy action on indoor air quality.
MetaMosaics® enables researchers and local authority officials in climate and health to explore how to bust organisational and disciplinary silos.
